Louis legakis

 
 

Louis Legakis was born on Long Island, New York in 1915. He studied painting under Leopold Matzal at the Newark School of Fine Arts from 1949 to 1951. He also worked and studied with Japanese landscape architect Shogo Myaida, on the Japanese-style gardens for the Nippon Pavilion at the 1939 World’s Fair in Flushing Meadows, New York, and the Merriweather Post Estate in Washington, DC.
